Christian Ready
My background is in astronomy and astrophysics (something I share in common with Gert Franz) and spent several years working on NASA's Hubble Space Telescope at the Space Telescope Science Institute in Baltimore, MD and at Goddard Spaceflight Center in Greenbelt, MD USA. As part of my work at these institutions, I developed some web applications (mostly written in PERL) to document how we were using Hubble and to help us schedule observations on board the spacecraft.
When I started working with CFML in 2000, I couldn't believe my eyes. Here was a language that seemed to be born in the web. CFML allowed me to get my job done quickly. I felt so lucky to have stumbled upon such a simple and powerful way to build web applications and keep the customers happy. I jumped with both feet into CFML and never looked back.
I've become a real web standards and acessibility nerd and well-structured, accessible markup is my passion (and occasionally my obsession). Today, I help support a Knowledge Management system for the federal government and I support Railo Technologies as their sales and customer support representative.
