ValidateThis - From Zero to Hero in 60 Minutes
ValidateThis (VT) is a validation framework for ColdFusion which provides both client-side and server-side validations based on a single set of metadata. It is easy to learn and integrate into a new or existing project, and will generally fulfill the majority of your validation requirements out of the box. What’s more, VT has been designed to address virtually any validation requirement via customization and extension.
This session will cover the basics of VT and then quickly move on to addressing some of those complex validation requirements such as validating composed objects, creating validation rules based on arbitrary cfml and creating your own validation types. We’ll close off with a look at using VT’s built-in internationalization (i18n) support.
You’ll leave the session with a better understanding of all that ValidateThis can do for you, and be positioned to start using it the moment you return to your desk.
