cf.Objective() 2012 - Call For Speakers and Topic Suggestion Survey Now Open!
October 21, 2011
The Wheels Are in Motion
That's right folks, although it's still 2011, we are already hard at work getting ready for the awesomeness that will be cf.Objective() 2012. I once again have the the honour of acting as Content Chair for the conference and have formed the Content Advisory Board (CAB) for 2012. Unfortunately we have lost Barney Boisvert and Marc Esher as CAB members this year, but have replaced them with the equally talented and attractive Ezra Parker and Simon Free. That means this year's CAB will consist of:
Topic Suggestion Survey
Just like last year, an important part of programming the conference is asking you, the community, just what it is you'd like to learn about. To that end we've reopened the Topic Suggestion Survey which will give you the opportunity to suggest topics of interest to you, and to vote on topics suggested by others. The results of this survey will be just one of many forms of input that we'll be using to determine which topics to feature at next year's conference, so while it will not be determining the full list of sessions, we are very keen to hear from you about what you'd like to see. So go suggest a topic or vote on some now.
Call for Speakers
The Call for Speakers for next year's conference is also now officially open. We're using the same app that we used last year (which is also being used for the Topic Suggestion Survey) to accept proposals to speak. Please note that in order to be considered as a speaker for a session you must submit a proposal for that session (by following the Submit a Proposal link), along with a detailed description. This is not the same as suggesting a topic via the survey.
The deadline to submit proposals to speak at the conference is November 28th, 2011, so start thinking about what you'd like to share with the ColdFusion community, and go submit some proposals.
